Ronin Marketing Brisbane helped Global Rotomoulding get into the holiday spirit by launching a digital holiday postcard social media marketing campaign to boost engagement and audience interaction.

Global Rotomoulding is a manufacturer and supplier of plastic agricultural equipment and water tanks. Early in Globals’s digital marketing partnership with Ronin, we noted together that Global’s target audience reacted extremely well to community content. This idea led to the launch of a holiday series focused on all the regional towns that Global services.

Concept

The base idea was to create a festive, agricultural themed campaign. We wanted to recognise all the towns in Global’s service reach as a ‘thank you’. Our creative team mapped out the target locations and focused on notable landmarks which all Australians could recognise. Ronin’s graphic designers emulated a vintage Australian postcard look and crafted 22 postcards to appeal to the local community spirit.

Execution

The digital postcards were posted twice daily on the client’s social media channels in the lead-up to Christmas and the New Year. The specific copy was created to highlight each town’s unique selling points and tourist attractions to encourage interaction further.

Local businesses and attractions were tagged to further improve the social media posts’ shareability and establish a relationship with community groups. The posts we deemed would be the most effective were boosted to reach a more expansive audience.

The result was a spike in Global’s social media engagement. The posts collectively gathered hundreds of engagements and thousands of views. The content is evergreen and can be utilised in future social posts and blog articles.
